One of the movies I really wanted to see--loved the previews, but never wound up seeing it and apparently other people didn't either--I'm talking about Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp's film for 2013 "The Lone Ranger."   Looks like it's going to lose for the folks at Disney--BIG MONEY!!

Disney has announced that it expects to lose $160 million to $190 million on its summer flop The Lone Ranger – which, if you’re keeping score, cost $250 million to make. The movie, starring Johnny Depp, has only taken in $87 million domestically.  Looks like the star of the movie--Johnny Depp have simply placed the blame of the failure of the film on the movie critics.   Here is what Johnny Depp says----"I think the reviews were written seven to eight months before we even released the film," Johnny told Yahoo. "They had expectations that it must be a blockbuster. I didn't have any expectations of that. I never do."

I thought the "Lone Ranger" 2013 was going to be a great entertaining movie, and I will have to hold my judgement until it comes out on DVD, which should be soon.   As I really want to see the movie and make up my own mind--whether it gets a couple of "thumbs up" or not.
