A recent study showed that the harder we have to think about something, the more calories we consume.

Volunteers did activities like relaxing in a chair, summarizing a document, and completing a memory test and then were offered an all-you-can-eat buffet directly afterward.

Calorie consumption shot up over 250 points when they’d eat after the hardest task.
