The big game is coming up on Sunday February 2nd---I'm rooting for the Seattle Seahawks.  Seattle's my hometown and this is the 2nd visit to the Super Bowl for the Seahawks---they fell to Pittsburgh 21-10 in 2006.  This time around I believe the ending will be different.   And if you have a Super Bowl party to go to--you can be that one person with amazing facts to stun and surprise your fellow party goers!   This could make you the "Super Bowl Know It All."  At least when it comes to Super Bowl 48!

Super Bowl 48 Truly Amazing Facts!

1. This is the first time in 24 years----since back in the 1990 season that the league's number-one scoring offense (Denver) is facing the number-one defense (Seattle) in the Super Bowl.

2. The last four NFC West teams to appear in a Super Bowl have lost. One of those was the 2005 Seahawks led by Matt Hasselbeck and coach Mike Holmgren--their 21-10 loss to Pittsburgh.

3. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was--get this---just nine year old and in 4th grade when Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was drafted by the Colts.

4. The Seattle Seahawks had the 26th-ranked passing offense this season. That's the lowest ever for a team in the Super Bowl..

5. Denver Quarterback Peyton Manning led the NFL this season in both passing yards and touchdown passes. That's pretty impressive. But it turns out this is VERY bad news, as history has shown that quarterbacks who lead the league in both passing yards and touchdown passes are winless and stand at 0-3 in Super Bowls.
