As we have begun a new year---one of my resolutions is getting off my hind end and exercise a bit more---gotta take care of that heart of mine!     Looks like TV is still a big part of our lives.    The folks at Neilsen--they do the TV ratings---they say we are watching more TV than ever before---an average of 34 hours a week.    I've come up with a list of my personal favorites that I like watching and I don't think it's quite as much as I used to watch.

My "Must See TV"--includes:  NCIS, NCIS: LA, The Blacklist, Sleepy Hollow, and Once Upon A Time.   I enjoy some classic TV like "Star Trek: The Next Generation."  I also enjoy the O'Reilly Factor, and keeping up on current events on the FOX News Channel.  And some classic movies on Turner Classic Movies (I love black and white movies from the 40's and 50's.

I am NOT a fan of reality TV at all.   From what I read this past week---many Americans watch TV like it's their job. (And we wonder why obesity is such a big problem ...)  According to Nielsen, the big winners of 2013 was CBS, which was the number one network among total viewers for 51 out of 52 weeks, and the NFL, as eight of the 10 highest-rated telecasts of the year were football games.
