Earlier this year, it was announced that FX would bring the Coen Brothers classic 'Fargo' to the small screen. Now, we know who the star of the show will be.

According to The Bismarck Tribune, Billy Bob Thornton has agreed to star in at least 10 episodes of the new show.

Thornton will play a con artist in the series, though none of the characters from the film will carry over to the TV show.

John Landgraf, who is the network boss at FX, did say that the TV series will be very comparable to the film, mainly because the Coen Brothers are expected to take part in production.

The rest of the 'Fargo' cast is yet to be announced.
