The Bismarck Bobcats could not continue their winning ways Friday night, as they dropped Game #1 of the division finals 5-4 to the Austin Bruins.

The Bobcats began the game with a flurry of goals, putting three in the back of the net in the first six minutes of the game. The Bruins battled back, though, and tied the game in the third period with a goal from Niko Hildenbrand.

In overtime, Sam Kauppila scored the game-winner at 5:36, to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead.

Goal scorers for the Bobcats were Tanner Salsberry, Evan Giesler, Tyler Dunagan, and Ryan Callahan.

The Bobcats will look to tie up the series tonight in Austin, before returning home to the VFW Sports Center for games #3 and #4 next weekend.
