Bismarck Bobcats Spoil Aberdeen Wings’ Home Opener Friday Night
The Bismarck Bobcats played spoiler Friday night (Sept. 26th), defeating the Aberdeen Wings 3-1 in the their home opener.
The Bobcats fell behind late in the first period, giving up a goal to Aberdeen's Ronnie Hein with 5:03 left to go.
Bobcats forward J.M. Piotrowski knotted things up at one a piece, just a few minutes into the second period. That tie would hold until the Bobcats added two goals in the third period: one from Logan Rivard and an empty-netter from Evan Giesler.
The Bobcats return home tonight to take on the Austin Bruins for Coors Light Opening Night. The puck drops at 7:15pm at the VFW Sports Center.
