Have asthma is not fun. But a child with asthma in Bismarck has it better than a child with asthma in many other places.

Alen, a company that makes air purifiers just released a list of the top 20 cities to raise a child with asthma.

The rankings are based on air quality, crime rates, graduation rates and proximity to hospitals. Bismarck came in at No. 8 on the list and received an air quality ranking of 94.4 out of 100.

According to Alen:

Bismarck previously made Alen's list for the top 17 cities with the cleanest air. Bismarck is the capital of North Dakota and offers a ton of fun family locations, such as The Dakota Zoo and downtown horse-drawn carriage rides. Bismarck is considered one of the best places to live in the U.S., according to Livability.com.

I've never seen a horse drawn carriage in downtown Bismarck but everything else they said sounds about right.
