The newly completed Teen Center at the Bismarck Public Library will hold its grand opening and an open house on Friday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m.

The Teen Center was put together so that teenagers would have a space to spend time with each other and conduct activities, such as reading, studying, working on projects, watching movies, and playing games among several others. The activities will be hosted by a full-time programming coordinator.

Construction, technology, equipment and furniture for the facility were financed with $400,000 that was raised by the Bismarck Library Foundation's fundraising efforts.

Light refreshments will be served at the grand opening and open house on Friday night.
