A Bismarck man is in police custody after Mandan police found methamphetamine, marijuana, and what is considered a 'dangerous weapon' in his vehicle.

According to The Bismarck Tribune, 27-year old Derek Emineth was arrested early Wednesday morning (Sept. 10), after officers pulled him over for an equipment failure.

Emineth stated that he had just purchased the vehicle and there was nothing inside it that should concern the officers. Police, however, say his demeanor made them think otherwise.

A drug-detecting dog was brought in to investigate the vehicle. Immediately, the dog registered a 'hit' and officers retrieved a can containing methamphetamine, along with a container labeled 'medical marijuana', which contained...yep, you guessed it...marijuana.

The officers also located nunchucks hidden under the driver's side seat. Because they're considered dangerous, nunchucks cannot be concealed.

Emenith is currently being held at Morton County Correctional Center.
