Thanks to a non-profit called Vested Interest in K9s Inc., two Bismarck police K9s have been outfitted with bulletproof vests.

According to The Bismarck Tribune, Oscar, a 2 1/2-year old Belgian Malinois, and Luna, a 4-year old Dutch Shepherd, were given the $950 vests by the non-profit group earlier this week. You can see the two police K9s in their new gear in the Facebook post above.

Vested Interest in K9s is a Massachusetts-based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of Law Enforcement and related agencies throughout the country.

Through a recent, nationwide Groupon campaign, Vested Interest in K9s was able to outfit 350 K9s with bullet and stab protective vests.
