Bismarck Ranks Among The Least Expensive Destinations in the Midwest
If you know anyone who wants to visit Bismarck, they'll be happy to know they can do so rather cheaply.
According to a survey from ChicagoHotels.org, which looked at the most expensive destinations in the midwest, Bismarck fell at the lower end of the spectrum.
The rankings were based on all cities in the midwest with populations of at least 250,000 while also including other "notable cities" that have populations of at least 100,000. Bismarck falls into that latter category.
They then looked at the cost of the cheapest available double rooms in hotels in those cities.
Surprisingly, Madison, Wisconsin came in at No. 1 on the list with rooms averaging $182 per night. Chicago came in at No. 2 with a rate of $176.
Bismarck came in at No. 27 on the list with the room rate coming in at $95 per night. Topeka, Kansas came in at the cheapest with a rate of $87.
