The Bismarck Demons' undefeated season came to an end Friday night (Nov. 7th), with a 22-7 loss to the Minot Magicians at the Community Bowl.

The Magicians got their revenge on the Demons, after losing earlier in the season 50-14.

Bismarck struck first, scoring on a pass play from Hayden Gibson to Connor Hellebust. The Demons only held the lead for a short period of time, though, as Minot's Karter Gorney got the Magi on the board with a touchdown just a few minutes later.

The two teams stayed tied through the end of the first half. In the third quarter, Minot managed to pick off a Bismarck pass and return it to the Bismarck 20-yard line. It only took a few plays for the Magi to get into the endzone, after which they added a 2-point conversion, to take a 15-7 lead.

Late in the fourth quarter, Minot scored their third touchdown of the game to take a 22-7 lead and put the game out of Bismarck's reach.

Minot is the first team to secure their spot in Dakota Bowl XXII. The Magi will face Fargo Davies next week. This is the first time since 2003 that the Dakota Bowl will not feature Bismarck or Fargo South.
