An elderly couple in Bismarck was given a fright on November 4th when an unidentified man wrapped in a blanket suddenly appeared in their home on Juniper Drive.

The wife, 75, was watching TV Tuesday afternoon when she was startled to realize there was a strange man standing right behind her.

The woman told police she had seen the man walking by her home earlier in the day, but otherwise, he was completely unknown to her.

According to the Bismarck Tribune, the man was "described [by the woman] as a black male in his early 50s, approximately 5-feet-8-inches and 200 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair and wrapped in a brown blanket."

When the woman shouted that her husband, 77, was working in the garage, the man went in to the garage and asked the husband if the street they were on was what he called "Cherry Street." He handed the husband a scrap of paper with a Cherry Lane address on it.

The husband described where Cherry Lane was located, and the man left.

No word on whether or not charges were filed or if police are seeking the man.
