BNSF Engine Slides off Track in Bismarck Monday Afternoon

12th and Main Streets were closed for a very short time Monday (2/9) due to a BNSF engine that slide off its tracks at the 12th Street crossing.

The engine was alone and not pulling cars when ice and snow on the tracks at the crossing caused the engine to slide off the tracks.

No injuries or damage were reported according to officials on the scene.

No trains were delayed because of the incident.

The 12th Street crossing was closed for a very short time.

The incident took place approximately 2 PM in Bismarck.
