Despite a season-ending torn ACL injury, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has officially been selected to the 2018 Pro Bowl.

Prior to his injury, Wentz was leading all players with an overall tally of 562,958 votes as of a week before voting was final. It's Wentz's first selection in just his second season and had he been healthy enough to potentially play in the game, he would've been the starter in the NFL's all-star game, according to a press release from the league.

Wentz's roster spot for the game will likely be replaced with NFC alternate at quarterback, Los Angeles Rams Jared Goff. However, Wentz missing the game due to injury doesn't take away the distinction as a 'Pro-Bowler.'

Wentz was also joined by five teammates from the Eagles who were also selected to the Pro Bowl. On the offensive side, guard Brandon Brooks, tackle Lane Johnson, and tight end Zach Ertz. On defense, safety Malcolm Jenkins, and interior lineman Fletcher Cox will be on the all-star team.
The Eagles were tied with the New Orleans Saints for the most players selected in the NFC with six. The Pittsburgh Steeler had the most overall in the NFL with eight selected.

The Pro Bowl will be in Orlando, FL on January 28th. The game will air at 3 p.m. on January 28th on both ESPN and ABC.

Congrats to Carson Wentz on his first Pro-Bowl selection!
