Thursday morning, you'll get a chance to kick back with a hot cup of Joe and some conversation about local issues with representatives from the local police force.

The Bismarck Tribune reports the second annual "Coffee With a Cop" is scheduled for Thursday morning, from 10:30 to 12:30 PM at  at City Brew Coffee, 1151 W. Divide Ave. Everyone is invited.

The goal of "Coffee With a Cop" is "to encourage contact between community members and police in non-emergency situations."

Chief Dan Donlin says his staff is looking forward to the second annual event.

"We hope that community will come out and ask questions, bring concerns or simply get to know their police officers," said the chief. "These interactions are the foundation of community partnerships."
