••Beerfest 2013 FRI 5-9pm  $30  It’s on at the Bismarck Civic Center from 5-9pm.

 

••Screening of the film—“The Road To Little Rock” all about the civil rights movement is on FRI 7pm at the North Dakota Heritage Center at the Capital.   FREE!

••Annual Autumnfest Parade is on SAT morning starting at 10 at the Capital and winds thru Bismarck and winds up at the Civic Center.  FREE!  Lots of candy for the kids!!!

••2013 Kroll’s Diner Bismark Marathon is ON SAT at Cottonwood Park, 2506 12^th Street Southeast in Bismarck.  Starts at 730AM!!  Be on the lookout for the COOL 98.7 and our sister station’s vehicles as we’re there to root you on!!

••Grand Opening of the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center Expansion with FREE ADMISSION is on SAT & SUN from 9am-5pm in Washburn.  It’s 9000 square feet.  Food and musical entertainment at Fort Mandan.   Highway 83 and 200A.

••Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch 7^th annual “Pigs N A Blanket” quilt auction is on SAT at Shilo Christian School.  Quilt preview at 10, lunch from 11am-1pm and the live quilt auction at 12noon.  $7.

••Applefest 2013 Happens at Buckstop Junction SAT 11am-6pm and SUN from 11am-4pm.  Live music, kids activities and games, face painting, crafts, food vendors, hay rides, a silent auction and more.  It’s a big benefit for the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.  Buckstop Junction is on the East Bismarck Expressway.  JJ will be there live SAT from 12N-3pm!!  The band “Tigerlilly” will be peforming!

••BisMarket Farmers Market is open SAT from 9am-1pm at Bismarck’s Sertoma Park, near Shelter 5.  Use the entrance by the Amusement Park.  Locally grown farm-fresh products, this is a great health choice.  FREE admission!!

••BisMan Bombshellz and the Magic City Rollers from Billings—a women’s roller derby battle is on SAT from 7-10 at the Bismarck Civic Center.  Doors open at 6pm.   $12 at the door.  This is a charity event for Aware ND—that helps women with self-defense.

••Preschool Discovery Hour is on SAT from 1030-1130am at the Gateway To Science.  It’s activities and games for kids ages 3 thru kindergarten.  Free to members, or $7 per session for non-members.  1810 Schafer Street in Bismarck.

 

••Wanna Dance?  Hangar Dance at the Bismarck Aero Center Historic Hanger is on SAT at 8pm  $20.

••Knights of Columbus Sunday Breakfast will be served at 830am SUNDAY at Christ The King Parish Life Center.  Scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, fruit, juice, milk and coffee for a free will offering.  505-10^th Avenue NW in Mandan.  Everyone is welcome!

••4H Fall Fundraiser is on SUN at the Menoken Grove 4H Picnic Park at 3pm.  Hayrides, carnival games, falll family photos, archery and dinner served at 5pm.  $8 for adults, $4 for kids.  Proceeds go to Burleigh County 4H Programs.  Take exit 170 off I-94 and look for the signs.

••Accordian player Dick Contino has his annual concert this SUNDAY 2pm in Mandan at the Mandan High School Auditorium.  Dick was on the Ed Sullivan show over 40 times.  This is good, wholesome, feel-good fun!   Tickets $10 available at the door or at Meriwether Trade & Gift Shop on Main Street in Mandan.

••Mandan Farmers Market is open SAT starting at 8am at Heritage Park on Main Street.  Open til everything sells out.   Also open TUES at 10am, and SAT thru October 29^th.

••Learn About Photography at a mini-class at Bob’s Photo at 1019 East Interstate Avenue SAT Morning 10-1130am.  FREE.

••Family Story Time is on MON at 630pm at the Bismarck Public Library, 515 North 5^th Street.   Enjoy an evening storytelling session for the whole family!  FREE!!!

••Papa’s Pumpkin Patch is now open and continues thru October 19^th.  It’s north of Bismarck along the Missouri River, at 5001 Fernwood Drive.  Lots of free activities, plus a bale maze, corn maze, train rides, zip lines, hayrides plus the pumpkin cannon and FUN!  Open on Monday and then on Thursdays from 5-7pm and on Weekends from 12noon-5pm

••Come & See The Animals!  The Dakota Zoo now has their summer hours is open daily from 10am-7pm.  $7 for adults, $4 for children.    New bear cubs and baby camels to see!

••Capital Farmers Market is open Friday starting at 3pm, and is open all day Saturday in the K-Mart Parking Lot starting at 8am.
