Dakota Access Pipeline Hearing Rescheduled for September 9th

A judge did not issue a ruling today in the Dakota Access Pipeline injunction hearing in Washington D.C., instead rescheduling it for September 9th to give him 'time to think.'

The judge in the case, James E. Boarsberg, will issue his opinion on September 9th. An appeal hearing is scheduled for September 14th, if the two sides are unhappy with his opinion, according to KFYRTV.com.

The hearing was brought on by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, who are suing federal regulators who approved the construction of the pipeline, which would carry crude oil from North Dakota to Illinois.

The developer of the Dakota Access Pipeline, Energy Transfer Partners, had stopped construction as they awaited a ruling in today's hearing.
