Dan’s Super Market announced their most recent plans to finalize the purchase of Bismarck’s Central Market by the end of this month.

The new Dan’s store, located on West Turnpike Ave., encourages all Central Market employees to apply and become part of the new staff. Dennis Bosch, CEO of Dan’s, emphasizes the importance of earning the trust of loyal Central Market customers. To do so, former customers can anticipate many familiar faces in the new grocery store.

Terry Rockstad, Dan’s chairman, expresses his opinion on the transition:

Central Market has been a successful, well-managed grocery store in the long-standing tradition of proud, independent grocers. Dan’s Super Market shares those same values, and we are pleased to make this location part of our family of stores.

Consumers can expect the Turnpike location to be as well-kept and run as the other five Dan’s stores as customer service is of much importance. The store will carry the same quality brands shoppers are accustomed to with a wide variety of product lines and produce.

Along with the Central Market location, bought from Grand Central in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Dan’s Super Market will be building a new store in the Sunrise Town Center. This northeast Bismarck location will begin its construction in the spring and is expected to be in use by late 2014.

As Dan’s plans to celebrate its 65th anniversary this coming year, the brand plans to remain devoted to serving Bismarck and Mandan as the community changes and expands.
