Did You Shop On Thanksgiving??

Did you hit the stores on Thanksgiving evening?  Not me---after a great Thanksgiving meal with friends, I kicked back and relaxed and enjoyed a little football.   For me--I could care less about the stores being open.    And it looks like a new poll out says the majority of Americans think businesses should be closed on Thanksgiving so workers can have the day off---here's the lowdown:

The poll came out like this----62 percent of Americans think businesses should close on Thanksgiving so workers can have the day off, while only 27 percent said that they think stores should feel free to stay open if there is demand for it.      And get this--only 13 percent of people polled said they wanted stores to be open on turkey-day.  And 74% would like businesses wait until noon on Friday to open their doors.   Also 80% of folks had NO plans to shop on Thanksgiving whatsoever.  

Guess when we see the reports from retailers IF it was smart of them to be open on Thanksgiving.  We shall see!
