Don’t Sleep on UND Football

With all the well deserved hype of NDSU football and UND hockey, it's easy to lose sight of the other team in North Dakota that's making waves, UND football.

Sure, they're not undefeated or ranked #1. However, the Fighting Hawks are back in the Top 25 rankings in the STATS FCS poll. After an upset win over 16th ranked Cal Poly by a score of 31-24, UND is ranked 24th. The Fighting Hawks are 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Big Sky Conference.

The Big Sky Conference currently has four teams currently ranked in the top 25. Eastern Washington (#4), Montanta (#10), Cal Poly (now #21), and UND (#24).

After starting the year in the top 25 at #19, the Fighting Hawks fell out after consecutive losses to Stony Brook and FBS member Bowling Green to start out the season. The 24th ranked UND Fighting Hawks travel west this weekend to play at Sacramento at 8 p.m. on Saturday night.
