North Dakota has many beautiful towns and cities from the rolling hills of Medora to the cityscape of Bismarck and Fargo and so much more.

Is it possible to name the most beautiful town in the state? One website, Home Beautiful, tried to do it last year and basically just decided, "anywhere with sunflowers."

However, the travel website Expedia opted to take a more solidified approach. When you book a trip on Expedia.com "sunflower fields" isn't a choice. You need to actually pick a place.

So with that being said, according to Expedia, the most beautiful town in North Dakota is Valley City.

From Expedia:

Settled cozily along the Sheyenne River, pretty Valley City is home to 11 historic bridges, some of which date back as far as the 1890s. Take a tour of these celebrated arches, and then see what’s in store at the Medicine Wheel Park. The 30 acres of serene parkland feature the impressive medicine wheel solar calendar, native burial grounds, and even a perennial garden. On your way out of town, take the Sheyenne River Valley National Scenic Byway for unbeatable views.

So there you have it. You may debate the results amongst yourselves.
