Facebook & Self-Esteem Go Hand In Hand
Is there a day that you're not spending at least a few minutes on Facebook, and I found the results of a new study that shows the most comments and like that we receive, the most likely we are likely to feel positive about ourselves!!
I do have a little bit of bad news, this also works both ways. The fewer likes and comments a person gets on their Facebook page, they are more likely to feel a bit on the lonely side and feel a bit of low self worth. The folks that did this research found that people who received no feedback or likes said they felt "invisible" and showed "lower levels of belonging, self-esteem, control, and meaningful existence."
So--another good thing and bad thing about something we all seem to love---Facebook!!! So--hopefully Happy Facebooking for you this May weekend!! (CBS News)
