Earlier today, the North Dakota High School Activities Association unanimously voted to no longer allow fans or students to stand on the court during basketball tournaments.

Boys basketball is expected to be the sport most affected by this change, which will no longer allow students and fans to cheer on their team from the baselines. This, unfortunately, will take away from the amazing atmosphere created during regional and state tournaments.

According to the NDHSAA, the reason for this change was due to verbal abuse from student sections.

What do you think? Should students still be allowed to stand on the court during the tournaments or do you think this is a much needed change? Let us know below.
