Cornerback CJ Smith is set to become the latest former North Dakota State Bison star to take the NFL field.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they had promoted Smith from their practice squad in a tweet earlier today (10/13):

The Eagles originally signed Smith after he went undrafted out of NDSU. He will join fellow Bison star Carson Wentz on the Eagles roster.

In other NDSU/Philadelphia Eagles news, the team also announced that they had released former Bison tight end Andrew Bonnet from their practice squad.

Earlier this week, the Miami Dolphins released former NDSU offensive lineman Billy Turner. He was signed the following day by the Baltimore Ravens.
