••Scholarship Fundraising Pancake & Sausage Breakfast is on SAT from 7am-1om at the Mandan Eagles.  Plus a big arts and crafts fair---great way to get started on Christmas shopping, and baked goods too.  Mandan Eagles is at 1400 North Collins.

 

••33rd annual Holiday Home Walk is on THIS SUNDAY from 11am-4pm.  Sponsored by the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony League.   This is your opportunity to see 4 gorgeous homes decorated for the holidays---they will provide great inspiration for your own decorating this Christmas season.  It’s followed by a reception with coffee and baked good at the Trinity Community Center 310 East Bismarck Avenue.  Tickets are available at Petro-Serve stations, Central Market Stores and at the Belle at 6th and Broadway.   Proceeds benefit our symphony orchestra.    (?’s—258-8345)

 

••Holiday Pops with the Brethren Quartet and the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra Concert is on FRIDAY night beginning at 730pm.  Christmas classics will be performed like “Sleigh Ride,” “White Christmas” and many many more.   It’s on at The Belle---6th and Broadway.  This is the kick off of the annual Holiday Concert Series.

 

••Catch “Grave Lullaby---A Ghost Story” on stage at the University of Mary FRI & SAT night at 730.   Performances at the Arno Gustin Hall on the University of Mary Campus in Bismarck.  $8 for adults $4 for seniors and students. 

 

••Ho! Ho! Ho!  Santa is arriving with live reindeer SATURDAY MORNING AT 10am at Gateway Fashion Mall. 

 

••Two Special Music Experiences for the Kids happens Saturday at the Bismarck Public Library.  At 11 it’s the Musical Discovery for Kids, where Kids will see various members of the musical family—string woodwinds, percussion and brass), at at 3pm a community chamber music concert.  ALL FREE!!  Everyone is welcome.   Library is at 515 North 5th Street.

 

••See a performance of the “Princess King” THIS SATURDAY at Mandan United Methodist Church.   Dessert Matinee at 2pm.  Dinner Theatre at 6pm, and a final performance at 715pm.  $3.  The chuch is at 610 12th Street Northwest.

 

••The Bismarck State College presents The “ChoirFest” Finale concert this SAT at 3pm at the Belle in downtown Bismarck.  More than 250 students from 11 area high school and BSC choral students will be singing.   Tickets $10, and for student and seniors $5. 

 

••Mannheim Steamroller in Concert SAT night at 8pm at the Bismarck Civic Center.  This Orchestra from Omaha, does an amazing Christmas Music show that each and every member of the family will thoroughly enjoy.  Tickets available at the Civic Center Box Office.

 

••The St Anne’s Knights of Columbus has a benefit breakfast coming up Sunday from 8-1 at the St. Anne’s School Gym.  Great menu—French Toast, Ham, fruit, juice and coffee.  Free will offering.  Proceeds benefit the Tri City Parish Youth Group.  St Anne’s school is located at 1315 North 13th Street.  That’s followed up by Turkey Bingo from 2-430pm  For the bingo it’s $12 with cash prizes and 10 turkeys to be given away.

 

••Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week.  Impact a child’s life with a simple shoe box gift.  Fill a box with school supplies, toys, and a note of encouragement for a child overseas.  It’s a program going on since 1993 thru Samaritan’s Purse.   Drop boxes at First Evangelical Free Church at 204 43rd Avenue N.E. in Bismarck.    This is a great way to make Christmas for a child.

While Bella adjusts to her new state of being, Renesmee experiences accelerated growth,  When knowledge of the new baby gets out—trouble ensues.  Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart star in what is to be the final movie in the Twilight Series.

 

“Silver Linings Playbook” (R)

Stars Bradley Cooper as Pat, a bipolar man from Philadelphia who has spent the last eight months in a mental hospital. He was ordered there after a violent incident involving his wife and another man. Pat moves in with his father (Robert De Niro), a lifelong Eagles fans who has low-level OCD issues. Pat wants to get back together with his wife, even though there is a restraining order keeping him from contacting her. He soon befriends a depressed young woman.  Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper star in this comedy-drama.

 

“Anna Karwnina” (R)

Knightley stars as the title character, a Russian woman who cheats on her respected husband (Jude Law) with a young soldier (Aaron Johnson) and suffers greatly for her betrayal.  This film won many awards at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.   Keira Knightly, Jude Law and Aaron Johnson star.
