••BISMARCK BOBCATS HOCKEY FRI at Minot  SAT host Minot Home games start at 715 at the VFW Center.

 

 

EVENTS AROUND TOWN:        

 

••Kick Off Of Girl Scout Cookie Sales Is on SAT at Kirkwood Mall.   Celebrity Girl Scout Cookie Eating contest is on SAT at 1pm—with “Your Early Morning Radio Pal”—JJ Hemingway a competitor.  1st bite takes place at 1pm, and there will be Girl Scout Cookies there for sale!   

••The Fun Musical Farce “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum Is on stage at the Dakota Stage.  It’s a fast-paced award-winning comedy.   This is the final weekend!  See it FRI & SAT at 730pm, and SUN at 2pm. as well.  412 East Main Avenue downtown Bismarck.   $26.

••PRCA Pro Rodeo is here in Bismarck FRI & SAT night at 730pm at the Bismarck Civic Center.   This is your chance to see some of the best rodeo competitors.  Doors open at 630.  Adults $20, kids 2-12 $10. 

••Come see the ND State Bison Championship Trophies.  They will be here in Bismarck at Sheel’s from 3-7pm on Friday!  FREE!  Bring your camera and get a memory to last a lifetime!

••Art Workshops For Kids Are On SATURDAYS Kids 5 years of age and older are invited to the Theo Art School from 130-430pm.  This weekend---Hearts & Valentines!!    Next Saturday it will be Duck Tape Art.   1810 Schafer Street in Bismarck.

••Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra’s “Heroic Journeys” is on SAT night 7pm at the Belle downtown Bismarck.  A great night of music!

••Christ The King PTO Breakfast And School Library Book Fair is on SUN from 830am-1230pm.   505-10th Avenue Northwest in Mandan!  Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, caramel and cinnamon rolls, coffee and juice plus their Omelet Station  Free will offering.   All proceeds will benefit the school’s library!

••Sunday is Family Valentine’s Day at The Theo Art School from 1-3pm.  This is a fun time for the family to make Valentine’s Day art together.   $5 per person.  1810-Schafer Street here in Bismarck.

••Relay For Life Got Talent Competition is on SUNDAY at the Century High School Auditorium.  Doors open at 130 and the talent show begins at 2pm.  Come perform or enjoy the show.  It’s a benefit for the Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life.” There will be concessions and a big bake sale.   Century High is at 1000 East Century Ave. in Bismarck. 

••Enjoy the Acapella Band “Six Appeal” This SUN at 730pm at the Belle—it’s part of the Belle’s 100th birthday celebration.   This act is the 2012 National Harmony Sweepstakes Champions.  Classic hits to current contemporary music.    The Belle is in downtown Bismarck.

••Family Story Time is on MONDAY Night from 630-7pm at the Bismarck Public Library.   It’s an evening of storytelling sessions for the whole family.  515 North 5th Street.  FREE!!

••Come & See The Animals!  The Dakota Zoo now has their winter hours and is open FRI-SAT & SUN from 1-5pm weather permitting.    $7 for adults, $4 for children.

“The Lego Movie” (PG)

A lowly Lego Figure joins a group intent on battling an evil force in this animated action-adventure movie.  Featuring the voices of Morgan Freeman, Will Arnett, Will Ferrell, and Chris Pratt.

 

”The Monuments Men” (PG-13)

This movie stars George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray and John Goodman as men who go behind enemy lines in world war II, to recover some of the world’s greatest works of art being held by the Nazis.  

 

”Vampire Academy” (PG-13)

This movie tells the legend of Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir---two 17-year-old girls who attend a hidden boarding school for Moroi (mortal, peaceful Vampires) and Dhampirs (half-vampire/half-human guardians).
