••Car & Truck Stereo Contest is on SAT from 3-6 at Dvorak Motors.  If you have a great sound system, enter the competition.  It’s free and first prize is a $4000 credit in Dvorak’s Pro Shop.  J.J. Hemingway will be one of the judges.   Bismarck Expressway and Airport Road. 

••See “When Cows Fly”  It’s part of the Dakota Stage and Shade Tree Players Summer Children’s Theater season. Performances at the Dakota Stage 412-East Main Avenue on SAT at 7pm and SUN at 2pm.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for kids. 

••Come & See The Animals!  The Dakota Zoo now has their summer hours is open daily from 10am-7pm.  $7 for adults, $4 for children.    New bear cubs and baby camels to see!

••Take a Guided Tour of Buckstop Junction. Any Saturday or Sunday at 1pm.  Vintage Shop is open from 12noon-4pm.  $5 for adults and $3 for students, off the East Bismarck Expressway.

••Bismarck Public Library Summer Movie Day is on TUESDAYS from 130-3pm.  Come to the Story Room and watch a movie.  Kids are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult or babysitter at least 12.   FREE  

 ••Capital Farmers Market is on all day Saturday in the K-Mart Parking Lot starting at 8am.

 ••Members of the Military and their immediately family in FREE at the Gateway of Science thru Labor Day.   It’s open FRI & SAT 10am-5pm and MON-THU 12N-7pm.  1810 Schaefer Street in Bismarck, near Bismarck State.

••Burleigh County Extension office has great stuff for your yard Mondays at noon through out July.   This MON---what’s bugging your tree?   It’s on a 12noon and it’s free!  3715 E. Bismarck Expressway.    22nd—Fruit, Vegetables and Plants and on the 29th---Landscaping your yard.

••Summer Band Shell Concerts continue MON THRU FRI EVENINGS at Mandan’s Dykshoorn Park on the west end of Main Street.  Dacotah Lions sell burgers and brats EVERY TUE from 530-730pm.   The concerts are FREE!!

••Hot Dog & Brat Fundraiser for Suicide Prevention is on at Sam’s Club from 11a-5pm on SAT.  Freewill donations will benefit the Bismarck Chapter of Suicide Prevention. 

••SATURDAY Show Off Your Classic Car---St. Mary’s Saints have their first annual Show-N-Shine at the School at 3rd and Boulevard.  Have your cars there by 1pm, and the show will be open to the public around 2pm.    Great food will be served up, a free will offering will be taken with the proceeds going toward scholarships!

••Family Rocket Day is on SAT from 1230-330 at The Gateway To Science.  Hands-on discovery stations will teach all about the science of rocketry and you will be able to shoot off your own rockets.  FREE   1810 Schaefer Street in Bismarck. 

••19th Annual Theo Art School Garden Walk is set for SUN from 11am-3pm.  Enjoy a tour of some of the finest gardens of the Highland Acres area.  Tickets available at Dan’s Supermarkets.  The tour starts at the United Church of Christ 1200 East Highland Acres Road.  This is a benefit for the Theo Art School!
