How much money does someone need to make before you consider them rich?

The number varies greatly by state. What may be a lot of money in one state, may barely be enough to get by in another.

What we call 'rich,' the Pew Research Center calls 'Upper Income.' What is considered 'upper income' varies by where you live, how many people are in your household etc.

But generally speaking, according to the Pew Research Center, the minimum amount of money you need to earn to be considered 'rich' in North Dakota is $121,310.

I suppose you can consider a North Dakota anesthesiologist to be really rich.

The Pew Research Center says that 20% of homes in the entire country are 'upper income' which is actually kind of a lot. That is one in every five households. But it's not nearly as much as middle income homes which amount to 51% of total homes across the country.
