The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Winter Storm Warning for a majority of the state through Wednesday. This watch goes into effect Sunday (November 27th) night. (see update below)

Depending on where you are will depend on the amount of snow you will receive. There is a very good chance you will get snow as this system is the first major snow system and snow fall of the season.

Residents are strongly urged to take the necessary actions now. Make sure livestock and pets have shelter from the elements. Double checking the winter survival kit in your car or truck. Be sure to check your tires and double check your four-wheel drive mode on your car or truck.

Travel will definitely be impacted throughout the region as hazardous travel is predicted as snow accumulates and gusty winds effect the area during this system's path through the state.

Update- Sunday November 27, 3:30 p.m.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for the entire listening area including the counties of Morton, Burleigh, Kidder, Mclean, Oliver, Mercer, Dunn, Starks, and Emmons.

At 11 p.m. tonight, the STORM WATCH will be replace with a Winter Storm Warning and will continue to influence the area until 6 p.m. Wednesday. The area can expect gusty winds, blowing snow and accumulations up to 12 inches in some areas.

Travel will be impacted, and you are encouraged now to make the necessary precautions before the effects of the storm impacts the area late Sunday night into Monday morning.
