According to a new survey from the National Retail Federation, people will spend an average of $168.94 on moms this Mother’s Day, an all-time high, up 11 percent from last year.

This number isn’t just what people spend for a single gift, but instead includes restaurant meals and gifts for mom, the wife, as well as the mother-in-law.

Another survey found that over half of people plan to spend $40 or under on the Mother’s Day gift.

If you plan to spend more than that amount, you should be good … right? (Time.com)
