How To Be More Productive
For me I'd love 48 hours in some days, just to get everything accomplished and everything on my "JJ Do List" all checked off. Are you like me and do you want to be more productive during the day but have no idea how?
Take a few tips from the experts and then you'll be feeling like CEO of You, Inc:
Shorten your work day – This may seem counter-intuitive, but shortening your work day will force you to work more efficiently. This sure beats playing “run the out the clock” all day!
One thing at a time – People who claim to be great multi-taskers are probably lying to themselves … and to you. Research says that it can take up to 20 minutes to adjust to a new activity, just wasting time and energy jumping from one project to another.
Put down the paper – You may want to stay informed, but don’t do it during work. Reading about stressful or depressing events during the day slows down your efficiency and actually makes your brain tired.
Stay yellow – Studies found that the color yellow increases productivity and helps keep you awake. Take from an expert who says, “The color decreases melatonin, the hormone that makes you sleepy in the evening, giving us more energy to accomplish tasks.”
