JJ’s Blizzard Battered House

Well, well, well....just about the time we thought Spring was officially here, we got a really rude awakening.   I kept hearing about a "winter storm warning" through out the day on Saturday, and even as late as 2am on Sunday when I woke up for a moment--nothing had even begun.  

Then when I did get up around 7am on Sunday morning---YIKES!   I usually attend New Song Church here in Bismarck, and asked a buddy of mine--Ed--if he could pick me up, he did around 920, and we got to church at 930 and found they had cancelled services due to the blizzard.   So we decided we'd grab a little breakfast, tried the Cracker Barrel, and they were closed up tight.  We did get lucky and found Denny's open and bustling for breakfast.   After that--another little ride home in Ed's 4x4 and a day of just staying inside and home.   Monday morning---I'm so glad we have a 4x4 here at the radio station, so i was able to make it into do the morning show, but alas--it was by myself as Linae got snowed in and I wound up doing Jim Walsh's afternoon show as he was also snowed in.    Hoping to be able to drive my own car by Wednesday once the streets in my neighborhood have been plowed and scraped.    I thought I'd share some of my blizzard pictures and show you what I was looking at from my house!
