One of the greats in the NBA, Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James, publicly stated on Monday morning that his favorite player in the NFL is Carson Wentz.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback from Bismarck, ND is putting together a stellar season as he's led the Eagles to an NFL best 10-1 record while throwing for a league-leading 28 touchdowns and everyone is taking notice, even one of the greatest players in the NBA.

James said in an interview:

My favorite player right now is Carson Wentz. I told my brother that early in the season that I just love the way he plays the game. The way he's able to get to progressions throughout the course of a three-step drop or a fave-step drop and if everything breaks down, his ability to run, get outside the pocket, either make passes or get yards with his feet...He's a very smart player from the outside looking in, obviously, and they've got a really good team. I'm a Cowboys fan, I'm a Browns fan, but I'm a fan of sports and I know sports.

The noted NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys fan also mentioned a few players in the NFL he loves to watch, which included New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le'Veon Bell, but Wentz is LeBron's top pick. If only James' Cleveland Browns would've made that distinction. The Browns traded away the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to the Eagles, who would use that pick on Wentz.

Wentz's 28 passing touchdowns this season trail only Dan Marino is 1984 (30) and Kurt Warner in 1999 (29) for the most TDs through 11 games by a first-year or second-year quarterback in the NFL.
