After pointing a rifle at a man and then leading authorities on a car chase through the Mandan area Thursday, April 16th, a 28-year old man is being charged with eleven felonies.

According to KX News, Tanner Thorstad has been charged with robbery, burglary, reckless driving, fleeing, and more.

Thorstad was found sitting in his vehicle north of Mandan around 8am Thursday morning. When a man attempted to call 911, Thorstad grabbed a rifle inside the vehicle and attempted to shoot him. Luckily, the weapon was not loaded.

Approximately 20 minutes later, Thorstad stole a vehicle from a nearby home, which led to the car chase.

Thorstad drove through ditches and two chain-link fences before stopping on I-94, between Bismarck and Mandan, where he was arrested.

He is currently being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
