Mandan Fire Department Proves That Even a HOT Vehicle Can’t Stop Them

You may have heard that the HOT 975 station vehicle went up in flames late Friday night, but instead of focusing on what we lost, we want to extend our most sincere thanks to those who prevented the problem from getting a lot worse.

The HOT Hummer was parked in close proximity to the building, and had the Mandan Fire Department not responded as quickly as they did, the damage could have been much, much worse. They reacted with such urgency that they were able to contain the damage solely to the vehicle. With employees in the building, it's difficult to think about what the damage could have been.

The Mandan Fire Department's mission is to provide public safety through quick and professional response to all emergencies with competent, trained firefighters. Having experienced it firsthand, it is evident they embody their mission everywhere they go.
