••MINNESOTA TWINS BASEBALL  FRI-SAT-SUN host Baltimore  MON-TU-WED-THU at Cleveland

 

••MINNESOTA WILD HOCKEY.   At Chicago for games 1 &  2 of their best of 7.  Friday at 830pm and Saturday at 7pm

 

 

EVENTS AROUND TOWN:        

 

••Bismarck State College Jazz Ensemble  is in concert Friday night at 730pm at the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.  It will feature Big Al’s Big Band.   1500-Edwards Avenue in Biismarck. 

 

••Birds In Art Exhibit is on at the North Dakota Heritage Center And State Museum  This special exhibit is now open daily from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm  It includes 50 original painting and 10 sculptures.    FREE Admission.  The movie “Winged Migration” will be shown Friday night from 7-9pm.  612 East Boulevard Avenue. 

 

••Got Preschoolers That Love Art?  Pre-School Art Explore is on SAT mornings from 11-12noon at Liliana Norby, 1810 Schafter Street with events for kids every Saturday thru May 3rd.  Its for kids ages 3-5 years of age. 

 

••Saturday Is Keep Bismarck Beautiful Clean Up Day.  Volunteer to pick up trash around Bismarck.  Trash bags, gloves, safety vests and refreshments will be handed out.  It all starts at Bismarck’s Sertoma Park—Shelter #6.   

 

 ••Walk To Cure Arthritis Is on SATURDAY   Starts at 9am at Sanford Women’s Health, at 1100 College Drive in Bismarck.  There will be a 3-mile and a 1-mile course.  Pet wonder are encouraged to bring their dogs along for the walk. 

 

••Annual March For Babies for the March Of Dimes Is on SATURDAY  It all begins with registration at 9am and the walk kicks off at 10am at the Bismarck Civic Center.    315 South 5th Street. 

 

 

••Annual FREE Comic Book Day is on SAT at 12noon at Joke Joint Comics, 500 North 3rd Street downtown.  It’s the 12th annual Free Comic Book Day.  There will be a costume contest, raffles, door prizes and more.  Everyone is welcome.  FREE!!

 

••United Church of Christ’s 9th Annual Buffalo & Ham Dinner & Bazaar is on SATURDAY  From 430-8pm.   Your choice of buffalo or ham, baked potatoes, corn, rolls, cookies and beverages.  $14 for adults, $6 for kids 4-10, 3 & under free.  Take out is available.  1200-East Highland Acres Road in Bismarck. 

 

••Bismarck State College’s “Sing Appeal” with Six Appeal Is On SATURDAY this 3rd annual “Sing Appeal” will be on at the Belle at 730pm.  Six Appeal is a 6-man acapella vocal group from Minneapolis.  $5.  211 North 6th Street.   

 

••Come & See The Animals!  The Dakota Zoo now has their Spring-Summer hours and is open Daily from 10am-7pm.  $7 for adults, $4 for children.  

 

NEW MOVIES FOR THE WEEKEND:

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (PG-13)

The web-slingin' wall-crawler hits the screens once again in this follow-up to Marc Webb's 2012 reboot of the series. Andrew Garfield returns as Peter Parker, who squares off against the villainous Electro, played by Jamie Foxx. Emma Stone heads up the rest of the starring cast.
