According to a new survey, men are struggling with basic household repairs. For example, 15 percent admit that they aren't confident changing light bulbs.

Here's a rundown of some basic household repairs -- and the percentage of men who can't do them:

Put in a sink -- 55 percent

Tile a bathroom -- 47 percent

Lay flooring -- 43 percent

Wallpapering -- 41 percent

Stop a leaking faucet -- 39 percent

Replace a door -- 38 percent

Install a lock -- 35 percent

Replace a plug socket -- 34 percent

Grouting -- 32 percent

Re-wire a plug -- 26 percent

Unclog a sink -- 17 percent

Fill in crack or a hole in a wall -- 17 percent

Change a fuse -- 16 percent

Hang a picture -- 16 percent

Change a light bulb -- 15 percent

Paint a wall -- 14 percent

While 20 percent of guys blame their poor home improvement skills on laziness, another 22 percent claim they are just too busy to do the jobs themselves.
