Once again, the state of North Dakota has found itself atop a well-publicized list. This time around, MoneyRates.com has named North Dakota the best state for young people.

In the research they released today, MoneyRates.com looked at a few different criteria to compile their list, including which states were the best for those looking for affordable education, getting their careers underway, and more.

Thanks to the oil boom, thousands of young people have moved to North Dakota to start their careers, which helped drive down the unemployment rate to 4.6% among those aged 20-24.

The state also boasts low college tuition and rental costs, which helped it land the top spot on the list.

Oh, and it's in the top ten in access to high speed broadband and number of bars per 1,000 young adults, which didn't hurt either.

Here's MoneyRates.com's top ten best states for young people:

  1. North Dakota
  2. South Dakota
  3. Nebraska
  4. Iowa
  5. Montana
  6. Louisiana
  7. Indiana
  8. Kansas
  9. Wyoming
  10. Texas
