More Cattle Slaughtered In Sioux and Morton Counties

One case involves four bison, the other involves two cows that were killed and then burned.More cattle were killed in Sioux County and Morton according to authorities.

Friday (Oct 28th), there is the confirmation of two additional dead animals that has local ranchers and authorities very concerned. One case involves four bison and the other involves two cows that were killed and one burned. The livestock were owned by two different owners.

These violent acts against livestock have been an on going situation since September.

The agencies are continuing to ask for the public's help in solving the cases. Anyone with information should call Misek at 223-2522 or 720- 2430, NDSA West River Fieldman Steve Bay at 955-3422 or Sioux County Sheriff Frank Landeis at 854-3481. The NDSA has a standing reward of up to $14,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who steal, butcher or shoot cattle, horses or mules.
