EVENTS AROUND TOWN

 ••Benefit Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction for Connie Berland  is on FRI from 5-9pm at Amvets on Railroad Avenue.  Connie is suffering from a rare brain hemorrhage and more.  The benefit will help offset her medical bills, travel expenses and more. 

 

••Annual Band Parade is ON FRIDAY night 630pm  At the Capitol..  From 3rd graders to college band, this parade will feature 26 bands from all across North Dakota and surrounding states.  Band will march down 6th Street to Avenue C, and then down 5th Street to finish up at the Kirkwood Mall parking lot.  FREE!!!

 

••Dakota Stage Limited presents “Marcus Is Walking  This comedy-drama is part of the spectacular 34th season.  Performances are FRI & SAT at 730pm and SUN at 2pm.  Tickets $18/$15, and can be purchased at the door.   Dakota Stage is at 412 East Main in Bismarck.

 ••Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is set for SATURDAY.  Your letter carries will be collecting non-perishable food items for the United Way Food Pantries.   You should have received a plastic bag in your mailbox.  Simply place the bag and your food donation by your mailbox, and the letter carrier will take care of the rest!

 ••Saturday Mom’s Day Walk is on SAT from 11AM-12Noon at the State Capitol in Bismarck.   It’s a special walk to honor mothers and families and their commitment to protect their children.  Families and strollers are welcome.

 ••3rd Annual Early Bird Schooling Show for horses and riders is set for SAT at 830am at the Harmony Stables.  A wide variety of equestrian classes will be offered.   Harmony Stable is 2 miles east of Lincoln, and 7 miles east of the Bismarck airport.

 ••Mother’s Day Hike in Mandan is set for Sunday at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park.  It starts at 2pm at the Visitor Center. 

 ••Big “Rub-A-Dub Doggie Wash” is set for SATURDAY at Groomingdales in Mandan and will benefit the Dakota Humane Society.   It’s on from 9-5.  $15 for small dogs, $20 for medium and $25 for large dogs.  Optional nail trimming for $10.   Groomingdales is at 422 West Main in Mandan.

 ••Come & See The Animals!  The Dakota Zoo is open daily from 10am-7pm.  $7 for adults, $4 for children.
