After suffering a tough loss in Missoula a few weeks back, the North Dakota State Bison were able to bounce back at home, defeating Weber State 41-14 at the FargoDome on Saturday, September 12th.

The Bison were led by quarterback Carson Wentz, who sat out of practice all week with a high ankle sprain. The Bismarck native threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns in the Bison win. He also had one rushing touchdown.

Chase Morlock also had a huge game for the Bison, on both the rushing and receiving end. The junior from Moorhead caught seven passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 76 yards, including a 40-yard scamper.

Weber State struggled throughout the game to stop the potent NDSU offense, though there were a few bright spots for the visiting team. In the fourth quarter, sophomore running back Eric Wilkes returned a kickoff 100 yards to make the score 34-14.

The Bison are back at home next Saturday, September 19th, to take on the University of North Dakota. This will be the first time the two teams have battled as Division I-AA opponents.
