The Bison of North Dakota State University wasted little time in hiring their new head men's basketball coach, after the departure of Saul Phillips over the weekend.

It was announced today (April 8th) that associate head men's basketball coach David Richman would take over the head coaching vacancy.

Richman has spent 11 total years with NDSU, including seven as the associate head men's basketball coach.

Richman, who is originally from Wahpeton, graduated from NDSU in 2002 with a degree in physical education. He continued his education and completed a master's degree in sport and recreation management in 2005.

This will be Richman's first head coaching job.
