Since they've won the past four Missouri Valley Football Conference titles, it should come as no surprise that the North Dakota State University Bison have been picked to win the title again this year.

The Bison received 32 first-place votes in the MVFC's preseason poll, giving them the top spot, according to GoBison.com. Illinois State, last year's MVFC co-champions, received eight first-place votes, landing them in second.

The Bison also had three players named to the MVFC's preseason all-conference team, including fullback Andrew Bonnet, left tackle Joe Haeg, and punter Ben LeCompte.

Six Bison players received honorable mention, including quarterback Carson Wentz.

NDSU begins their defense of the MVFC championship when they travel to Brookings, SD to take on South Dakota State on October 3rd.
