Williston-raised, Olympic Silver Medalist, and Boxing Hall of Famer Virgil Hill has set a date for his 'final fight', which will take place Saturday, February 28th, at the Bismarck Event Center.

Hill held a press conference earlier today, January 14th, to announce the fight and discuss why he wanted Bismarck to be the location of his 'final fight.' You can see Hill's portion of the press conference in the video above.

In a career that has spanned over 40 years, Virgil Hill has amassed a record of 50-7-0, with 23 of those wins coming from a knockout. His last fight in Bismarck, which took place back in 1998, was a KO of James Hayes, according to BoxRec.com.

Hill was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2013.

It was also announced at the press conference that Hill's son, Virgil Hill Jr., had also planned to fight on the February 28th card, but that is now up in the air as Hill Jr. is considering a return to professional baseball.
