In a recent interview, North Dakota Lieutenant Governor Drew Wrigley admitted to having an extramarital affair with a woman from Bismarck.

Wrigley spoke, via phone, with Rob Port, who is the editor of SayAnythingBlog.com, and had the following to say regarding his infidelity:

Many months ago I went to Kathleen and confessed that I was unfaithful. It was a very difficult time and we turned immediately to our long-time pastor and also professional guidance and prayer and a close circle of friends.

Wrigley stated that he and his wife, Kathleen, now 'stand together on ground that has been formed by faith and our love for each other and our love for our amazing family.'

SayAnythingBlog.com would not identify the woman with whom Wrigley had the affair, as she and her husband are private citizens.

Wrigley would not comment on how this affair would effect his political plans, as he is expected to be a front-runner for the governor's position in 2016.

Wrigley was sworn in as North Dakota's 37th Lieutenant Governor in 2010.
