North Dakota Man Dies After Testing Positive for West Nile Virus
The family of a 76 year old man said he died Sunday from the West Nile Virus.
The sister of Arnold Esterby, made these statements after Mr. Esterby passed away Sunday at Sanford Health. Karen Jacobson said the doctors told the family Mr. Esterby tested positive for mosquito born West Nile.
A spokesperson for North Dakota Department of Health has not confirmed the cause of death. As a matter of fact, NDDOH has not confirmed any death from West Nile this year in the state. Because of privacy laws, the department has declined to say if they are indeed looking into the Esterby case.
NDDOH will publish a press release if they confirm the cause of death is from the virus.
Mr. Esterby lived in North Fargo.
