North Dakota Ranks 6th in the Nation for Overall Child Well-Being
North Dakota has been named number six in the nation for overall child well-being by the Annie E. Casey Foundation's 25th annual Kids Count study.
Information was gathered from 16 different areas including:
- Family and Community
What shot North Dakota to the top of the overall well-being list is our economic well-being. North Dakota was number one in the nation for economic well-being, fourth in family and community, 19th in education and 23rd in health.
One area that needs work is preschool enrollment. North Dakota is tied for the fourth-worst ranking in the nation.
Minnesota beat out North Dakota for the number five spot and have been in the top five for over a decade.
