North Dakota Ranks at the Bottom of This List

When it comes to using these types of drugs, our state ranks at the bottom of this list. And in these terms, the bottom would be in the GOOD range.

When it comes to using drugs to alter ones mood, NoDak ranks at the bottom of this list, or in the average range.

West Virginia is No. 1, with a rate of 28.1 percent, followed by Rhode Island  (25.9%), Kentucky (24.5%), Alabama (24.2%) and Louisiana.

According to the Gallup Poll, The data was based on interviews with at least 450 residents of each state from January to December 2014.

The states with the lowest use of mood altering drugs include

• Alaska
• Wyoming
• California
• Illinois
• North Dakota
